Design Approach
This project is a bold expression of modern hospitality, where refined aesthetics meet functional precision. Rooted in heritage, the space honours history through the thoughtful reuse of aged architectural elements — including a 50+ year-old shutter door — seamlessly woven into a contemporary narrative. At the same time, cutting-edge technology is embedded throughout, with adaptive features like a configurable TV wall that responds fluidly to different event formats. The result is a timeless, multi-sensory environment that reflects Hang Seng Bank’s commitment to honouring the past while hosting the future — with elegance, innovation, and purpose.

Honouring the spirit of sustainability and symbolic design, all existing crystal glass pendant lights from the original Hang Seng space were carefully collected and sent to LAVIST, a renowned European lighting manufacturer. There, each crystal was meticulously recut and reassembled into a new bespoke lighting feature, inspired by the Hang Seng stock chart — rising and falling bars that represent market rhythm and growth. The result is a meaningful centrepiece that marries legacy materials with modern form, turning recycled elegance into a luminous sculpture that reflects both the bank’s financial DNA and its forward-facing design ethos.
